Twenty two amateur designers presented their works at the first Salon of Amateur Design which was held as part of Designblok. Superstudio Hra on Mikulandská Street hosted a curated selection of various objects, such as Maxmilián Šafránek’s universal cake, Oskar Zielinski’s paintbrush extension, Max Schroeder’s snowboard made from recycled materials, Václav Dolejší’s Kololodička bicycle sidecar, Vojtěch Bitt’s gnarled garden horse, as well as glasses, vases and toys. So what do these amateurs do for a living? One is an engineer, another is a journalist…there’s a cook, a dental lab technician, a chemist, a cabinetmaker; two of them are artists; three of them attend primary school…the list goes on. They were all inspirational works. Congratulations to all.
