Lasvit to present candy, lollipops and charming charnel houses

11. 4. 2016

Lasvit has fine-tuned its latest collection to be premiered at Milan Design Week. It will be showcasing its collection at the Via Lucis exhibition. Lasvit – a regular exhibitor at Designblok festival – will present lights by Stanislav Libenský, Maxim Velčovský, Jakub Berdych and Boris Klimek as well as its first collection of accessories designed by the Campana brothers, named the Candy Collection.

Designed by Czech master glass designer Stanislav Libenský (1921-2002) in 1980, the fantastic chandelier brings back memories of the iconic Praha Hotel that has since been torn down. Thanks to Lasvit, the chandelier lives on. Maxim Velčovský’s completely new glass chandelier will also be on display. Inspired by master woodcarver and carpenter František Rint’s sculptures made from bones in the Sedlec charnel house near Kutná Hora, the chandelier is made up of crystal-glass human bones with spellbinding shapes in order to symbolize impermanence. Jakub Berdych endowed the traditional chandelier with glass trimmings with a special glow – an oil rainbow effect. The lights by Boris Klimek have the widest range of interior design uses and could even be used in your home thanks to their dimensions and stylish lollipop theme. Much like the Candy lights, the collection of interior accessories by the Campana brothers bearing the same name evokes all colours of the rainbow. This collection of vases and trays makes you feel as if you were really surrounded by colours. In addition to these exquisite pieces, visitors to the Via Lucis exhibition can look forward to seeing other new products by Lasvit.

Lasvit exhibits its products in Pallazo Serbelloni in Milan.
