The grandfather of the current owner of the Rückl glassworks, Zdeněk Rückl, used to manufacture lights from lead glass in collaboration with Elias Palme. His grandson follows up his work, manufacturing lights at the Rückl glassworks after a long break. The new collection was designed by Boda Horák, who made use of the great possibilities of crystal glass, added a LED source, and created fantastic lighting objects. A part of the designs was made for the studio of M.O.M. However, technological perfection was achieved at the Rückl glassworks. At Designblok, visitors will have an opportunity to see these lights at two locations – at the Designblok Superstudio in Nákladové nádraží Žižkov as part of the Rückl Crystal installation and at the Art House Colloredo-Mansfeldský palác, where Boda Horák will exhibit his works.
