Focused exclusively on interior design, an entire floor in the Superstudio Kafkův dům (Náměstí Franze Kafky 3, Praha 1) will be dedicated to Italian design. The Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry has organized the second Italian Design Week as part of Designblok. Thus, visitors will have an opportunity to see the avant-garde Vieques collection of bathroom furnishings, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Agape, re-assessing the retro style in a very modern way. The collection will be complemented with the 3D Moss tiles made from natural moss by Verde Profilo. Whereas the Italian family company of De’Longhi will present its latest coffee equipment, Opera Italia will present mainly designer elements for architecture. The exhibitiors will include the Piemonte Agency, Punto Design, and Studio Nika, which represents Versace Living and Fendi. As part of the gala opening, Scuderia Praha will display the new Ferrari model in front of Superstudio Kafkův dům. Italian Design Week will also include two exhibition projects, which will complete their world tour at Designblok following their presentation at 100% Design London. The first exhibition – To-design in the World: Add the Value of Italian Design – will show unique, innovative, and creative designs from Torino and the Piemonte region in northwestern Italy. The project includes 100 top designers and companies. Let us mention such names as Giugiaro, Pininfarina, and Bocchietto. The other exhibition – Exclusive Brands Torino – will present manufacturers of exclusive jewelry, fashion, design, textiles, pens, wine, and foodstuffs from the same region. Livingplus and Urban Survival will also participate in the event in their showrooms.
