The centerpiece of the project is the Collaborate metal vase collection by Marek Novotný, designed with an emphasis on absolute formal simplicity. This austere metal object is presented to invited designers as a “canvas”. Each guest creator was tasked with designing a distinctive outer shell for the vase, utilizing their signature material and style. The exhibition’s backdrop features built-in architectural niches acting as intimate microcosms and small showrooms. Here, the invited designers present examples of their own independent work. This setup allows visitors to clearly understand the creative process and anchor the final collaborative piece within the broader context of each designer’s unique portfolio and personality.
