“We are focused on eyewear of the past decades. Our motto is: uniquely designed spectacles that are functional till today.” Optiqa is an eyewear studio that has been creating an archive of spectacles from different periods for several years, inspiring them to develop their own spectacle frame design. As a studio, it designs frames for the Czech eyeglass brand Okula Nýrsko, cooperates with the film studios in Barrandov and various modelling agencies, and also develops design of bespoke spectacle frames in their workshop. The optiqa brand was founded by Michal Pavlát and Ondřej Vicena, two friends who met many years ago in Scouting. Michal designs glasses and hand-makes them on old machines, Ondřej designs glasses and is an expert in the history of the eyewear industry.
