Welcome to the 28th edition of DesignBlok – Prague International Design Festival. We hope that your visit to DesignBlok will be an enjoyable experience for you and all other visitors. We therefore kindly ask you to accept and comply with the rules set out in these Visitor Regulations. Their purpose is to ensure safety and fire protection, to protect the health and property of visitors, the Organiser, exhibitors and other persons at the DesignBlok Site, and to provide the best possible environment for DesignBlok visitors and ensure that they enjoy their visit to the fullest. For the purposes of these Visitor Regulations, the DesignBlok Site (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”) means all premises in which festival exhibitions are located, services related to DesignBlok are provided, accompanying events are held, as well as all other designated premises of the Organiser and DesignBlok exhibitors.

Visitors to DesignBlok must conduct themselves at the DesignBlok Site in such a way that their actions do not endanger their own safety, health or property, those of any minors accompanying them or those of any third parties, nor any equipment, exhibits or other furnishings located at the Site or within individual displays. DesignBlok visitors must also comply with the instructions of the Organiser’s staff, persons authorised by the Organiser, exhibitors at individual displays, as well as the instructions of the Integrated Rescue System, the Police of the Czech Republic, Prague Municipal Police and fire, medical and security personnel.
DesignBlok visitors must comply with all hygiene and safety measures relating to the current situation and with any further instructions issued by the Organiser. Particular emphasis is placed on strict observance of personal hygiene rules by all DesignBlok visitors. Each visitor is responsible for behaving considerately and safely at the DesignBlok Site.

Visitor Regulations for DesignBlok Visitors

Notice to visitors: These Visitor Regulations set out the general rules of conduct applicable throughout DesignBlok. Visitors are advised that exhibitors may organise their own accompanying activities, events, presentations or programmes within individual displays. Exhibitors arrange these specific activities independently and assume full responsibility for them. They also establish their own rules governing visitor admission and conduct, which are available directly at the relevant displays.

Article I. Introductory Provisions

  1. DesignBlok is an international design festival organised by Profil Media, s.r.o., Company ID No. 25726501, with its registered office at Újezd 414/13, Malá Strana, 150 00 Prague 5, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague under file No. C 64682. Any questions or comments may be addressed to the Organiser at info@designblok.cz.
  2. These Visitor Regulations set out binding rules of conduct for all DesignBlok visitors.
  3. The provisions of these Visitor Regulations apply, as appropriate, to persons other than visitors who enter the DesignBlok Site on the basis of a contractual relationship with the Organiser and/or individual exhibitors. Such persons are likewise required to comply with the rules contained in these Visitor Regulations.
  4. By entering any official DesignBlok venue, each visitor confirms their acceptance of these Visitor Regulations and agrees to comply with them.
  5. The full text of the Visitor Regulations is available on the official DesignBlok website (www.designblok.cz) and in printed form at the ticket offices or, where a venue has no ticket office, at its main entrance.

Article II. Admission and Safety

  1. Admission to the DesignBlok Site is permitted only with a valid ticket or accreditation, which visitors must retain throughout their stay at the Site. The ticket or accreditation must be presented at the Organiser’s request.
  2. Visitors must follow the instructions of the Organiser, security staff, DesignBlok personnel and exhibitors and must not restrict, endanger or disturb other visitors through their conduct.
  3. The following are prohibited at DesignBlok venues:
    • Bringing in weapons of any kind, ammunition, pyrotechnics, narcotic or psychotropic substances, or any other dangerous items or substances. The Organiser or security staff are entitled to assess whether any item or substance brought to the Site by a visitor is dangerous and/or unsuitable. Visitors must allow the Organiser’s staff to inspect items and luggage brought onto the Site in order to verify compliance with the Visitor Regulations. If a person refuses such an inspection, the Organiser is entitled to deny that person admission to the DesignBlok Site or remove them from the Site.
    • Damaging venue equipment, exhibitions, exhibits or the property of the Organiser, individual exhibitors or third parties.
    • Smoking outside designated areas, including the use of e-cigarettes, and handling open flames.
    • Entering exhibitor or Organiser back-of-house areas without the express consent of an authorised person.
  4. DesignBlok visitors accompanying a minor or a person who does not have full legal capacity must ensure the safety of the person in their care and, in view of any potential risks, assess that person’s ability and capacity to participate in activities organised by DesignBlok or by exhibitors within individual displays. In case of any doubt, visitors must contact the Organiser.
  5. For the duration of DesignBlok, the Organiser ensures the presence at all DesignBlok venues of medical personnel equipped and trained to deal with common medical issues or injuries. Representatives of the Organiser are likewise present throughout DesignBlok.
  6. DesignBlok visitors must immediately report to the Organiser any damage to property, health problems, injuries or other harm occurring at the DesignBlok Site. If necessary, any exhibitor may summon a representative of the Organiser. If a visitor fails to fulfil this obligation, they may not claim compensation for such harm from the Organiser.
  7. The Organiser reserves the right to deny admission to the DesignBlok Site to persons whose conduct endangers the safety and/or health of persons or property at the Site, including persons significantly under the influence of alcohol or other addictive or intoxicating substances. Such persons may be removed from the Site by the Organiser or security staff.

Article III. Rules for Visiting Exhibitor Displays

  1. Exhibitors presenting within individual displays may organise their own activities, events, workshops and other activities, including those open to all DesignBlok visitors as well as private presentations, press conferences and similar events.
  2. Exhibitors organise these activities entirely independently and establish their own admission rules, capacity limits, safety rules and measures, and specific rules of visitor conduct. The DesignBlok Organiser neither organises nor manages these activities and is not otherwise involved in them. The Organiser therefore bears no responsibility for the conduct of visitors participating in individual exhibitors’ activities.
  3. Within individual exhibitor displays, visitors must comply with the instructions of the relevant exhibitor’s staff and with any specific exhibitor rules applicable and displayed at the relevant display.

Article IV. Protection of Property and Copyright

  1. Visitors must treat all exhibits and other furnishings with care. Compensation for any damage to or soiling of property may be sought in accordance with applicable law.
  2. Photography and video recording for personal use are generally permitted, provided that they do not disrupt the smooth operation of DesignBlok or compromise safety. The recording and use of videos and photographs of the Site or specific displays for commercial purposes require the prior written consent of the Organiser or the relevant exhibitor.

Article V. Final Provisions

  1. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for items left outside cloakrooms or for damage to property or personal injury caused by failure to comply with these Visitor Regulations.
  2. The Organiser shall not be liable for any damage to visitors’ property or injury to visitors unless such damage or injury was caused by the Organiser or arose directly from the Organiser’s breach of applicable law.
  3. In the event of a breach of these Visitor Regulations or the Organiser’s instructions, the Organiser is entitled to remove the visitor from DesignBlok premises without refunding the admission fee.
  4. These Visitor Regulations enter into force and take effect on 1 October 2026.
  5. The Organiser reserves the right to supplement or amend the Visitor Regulations. Any revised version will be published in the same manner as these Visitor Regulations, namely on the official DesignBlok website and in printed form at the ticket offices or, where a venue has no ticket office, at its main entrance.
