The 28th edition of DesignBlok will traditionally kick off with Professionals’ Day, intended for the professional public. Before the exhibition halls fill up with thousands of enthusiastic visitors from the general public, DesignBlok will offer an exclusive viewing opportunity for industry professionals. On Tuesday, October 6, the exhibition spaces will open preferentially to architects, interior designers, gallerists, journalists, and other representatives of the professional community.
This year’s Professionals’ Day will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Accredited professionals will have the opportunity to preferentially view the three main locations: the Trade Fair Palace – National Gallery Prague, the Prague Castle Riding School, and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague.
During the afternoon, visitors will have a unique opportunity to personally meet with more than 200 representatives of selected design studios, independent creators, as well as established brands and manufacturers. Professionals’ Day thus functions as a key B2B networking platform where space is created for direct discussion. It also serves as a rich source of inspiration and a comprehensive insight into current events in Czech and international design, through the works of renowned designers and new talents.
As part of Professionals’ Day, the first day of the prestigious DesignBlok Talks conference will also kick off, serving as a key pillar of the professional program of the festival’s 28th edition. The opening day will offer a series of lectures, panel discussions, and case studies featuring leading domestic and foreign experts. Its program intertwines with Professionals’ Day, thereby complementing the opportunities for industry discussion.
Entry to the exhibitions during Professionals’ Day is only permitted to accredited representatives from the ranks of architects, designers, manufacturers, and the media.
