Splash: Between Forces reinterprets one of Lasvit’s iconic designs, Splash by Martin Gallo. Originally created from clear slumped glass, it captured a single moment of water frozen in time. For DesignBlok’s spaces in Veletržní palác, the original transforms into two contrasting surfaces: one reflective like liquid metal, the other absorbing light like dense mist. What was once a celebration of water’s fluidity becomes an expression of tension. The interlacing forms evoke opposing forces that continuously collide and redefine one another, reflecting the political, social, moral, and personal polarities shaping our world. Rather than offering resolution, the installation inhabits a threshold where transformation is always imminent.
