Large-scale paintings of so-called farm animals. A cow. A pig. A sheep. A hen. Portraits of those we so often overlook – beings who endure unimaginable conditions – paradoxically become objects of beauty, works of art. The combination of white with accents of gold, together with textured surfaces and reliefs, creates a minimalist visual language that evokes tenderness and compassion. At the center stands a book, symbolically connecting the exhibition to my publishing work and my daily sketching. Filled with sketches, photos, stories, and fascinating facts, the book invites visitors to discover them more deeply and to see them from a new perspective. It offers a different view on these remarkable beings, who, over the past decades, have gradually been reduced to commodities and resources.
