At Designblok 2026, Rozálie Vlachová presents Lichen, a collection of hand-modelled porcelain that received the Excellent Student Design 2025 award and the Director’s Award of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague last year.
The collection of bowls and vases is inspired by lichens — organisms that exist through the symbiotic relationship between fungi and algae. For the artist, they represent friendship and reciprocity: resilient enough to survive in harsh conditions, yet remarkably sensitive to the environment they inhabit.
