As part of the Designblok festival and its City (Město) section, the Modernista showroom in Vinohrady becomes the venue for an exhibition dedicated to the work of Jožka Baruch, a prominent figure of Czech interwar printmaking and woodcutting. In a unique fusion, Modernista joined forces with Mikuláš Brukner, creative director of the Knit-art brand, who translated the dynamics of Baruch’s prints into modern machine embroidery.
The centerpiece features a pair of reclining armchairs complemented by four double-sided embroidered cushions. The exposition is further expanded by wall tapestries and other textile accessories from the Knit-art portfolio.
The exhibition opens on October 9 at 7:00 PM at the Modernista showroom in Vinohrady and runs until the end of the year.
