Light, the central theme of this year’s DesignBlok, sets the stage for an encounter between Italian design and Czech glassmaking. STOPKA presents Gallotti&Radice through a conceptual installation by Lucie Koldová, bringing these two worlds together. Marking the brand’s 70th anniversary, the installation reflects a shared passion for material, experimentation and craftsmanship. All selected pieces are united by glass, from granules and powder to borosilicate glass. Koldová extends this principle into the architecture, with glass flowing from the main wall to the platform and connecting the objects with their surroundings. A material at the heart of Gallotti&Radice’s history thus becomes not only a theme, but the installation’s very essence.
