The R I T E collection explores the relationship between light and darkness, ritual and transformation. It works with Czech and Slovak wool from Jacob and Valachian sheep – traditional horned breeds with a distinctive silhouette. The wool is handcrafted, combined with handmade lace and upcycled black leather. The inspiration comes from the slow and almost ceremonial process of working with wool. Stories and dark tales shared during the process become part of the collection’s atmosphere. Dark tones, folk beliefs, and the motif of the mask refer to fear, mystery, and the unknown. Fear of darkness is understood as a primal human emotion, present in folk imagination, craft, and nature. The garment becomes both protection and revelation, carrying traces of touch, time, and transformation.
