The video installation draws on the visual language of reality dating shows, television confessionals, and swipe-based dating apps to tell the story of deliberately “unwearable” rings – too fragile, too monumental, or too extravagant. Through stylized scenes and intimate confessional interviews, the jewelry pieces are given a voice, reflecting on their insecurities and their desire to be worn. Combining humor, camp aesthetics, and subtle irony, the project explores a culture in which the value of both objects and people is shaped by first impressions. Inspired by Object-Oriented Ontology (OOO), it transforms jewelry into autonomous characters seeking acceptance.
