Rautis develops a century-old tradition of producing Christmas decorations from glass beads in Poniklá in the Krkonoše Mountains. Manufacturing techniques have been passed down through the generations, providing an irreplaceable foundation for understanding the material and the individual production processes. The craft is still very much alive here and keeps pace with the tastes of the modern world. In 2020, the method of producing Christmas decorations from glass beads was inscribed on UNESCO’s list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Rautis is currently the only company in the world where glass bead decorations are still being made.
