DesignBlok returns to the Industrial Palace after seven years and will become the first major event to take place there following the completion of its extensive reconstruction. Designed by Bedřich Münzberger for the Jubilee Exhibition of 1891, the monumental building remains one of the most distinctive landmarks of the Prague Exhibition Grounds. During the festival, visitors will be able to experience its restored historic central hall.
The generous space will become a venue for gatherings, talks and ceremonial events. It will host DesignBlok Talks, a live design edition of AZ Quiz, as well as Saturday’s fashion shows featuring the finalists of the international Diploma Selection competition. In cooperation with Výstaviště Praha, DesignBlok is also preparing a Škoda Auto children’s zone and interactive installations in front of the palace.
Please note: With a valid Festival Pass, you can visit and explore the restored Central Hall of the Industrial Palace during the festival’s opening hours. Individual accompanying programme events, including DesignBlok Talks, the DesignBlok Awards Gala and the Diploma Selection fashion shows, require a separate valid ticket for the respective event. Festival exhibitions and interactive installations are located in front of the Industrial Palace and are freely accessible to the public.
Please note: On October 8, the Industrial Palace is open only until 6 PM.
