The Interactive Design Studio created a digital layer that responds to the visitor’s presence in the space. Selected circular areas of the acoustic panels become interactive points through which visitors gradually move from an overall view of the material to its microscopic structure.
The visual magnification is accompanied by sound generated in real time from the individual structures, giving each material its own unique audiovisual form. Image and sound evolve together with the degree of magnification, gradually revealing the material at different levels of detail.
