The Wear Me Collection arose from the observation that many creative people collect fabric, yarn, buttons and other materials, intending to reuse them. Yet this mindset can become excessive, create clutter and prevent usage through procrastination. I explored the point at which accumulation no longer supports reuse but becomes an obstacle, causing the original intention to lose its sustainable impact. Over many months, I gathered materials from others that had no intended purpose. The design emerged out of those forgotten materials. Transformed into garments, their value was restored through use, not storage. The pieces are handcrafted, including work on my manual knitting machine. I developed techniques to integrate the materials while reinstating their visibility and function.
