Michel Kambi

Michel Kambi is a Belgian-Congolese designer exploring the intersection of product design, material culture, and storytelling. His practice examines how objects can embody memory, identity, and cultural narratives through research, dialogue, and material exploration. Rooted in his experience of growing up between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Belgium, he collaborates with diasporic communities to translate personal and collective stories into meaningful, contemporary objects. His work fosters reflection on representation, belonging, and cultural transmission, creating design that connects people, encourages dialogue, and enriches everyday life.
