An exploration of the “beautiful” and “feminine” through a peripheral, subversive, and queer lens. I was inspired by the controlled aesthetic of traditional 20th-century couture and vintage clothing, which first sparked my love of fashion, as well as my own reflections on my complicated experience with womanhood. Working in juxtaposition with the works of contemporary artists, who often interpret their complex ideas of femininity and their bodies through their work, I want to find a balance between fragility and sharpness. I want to discover rebellion and freedom in the glamorous.
