What if the most important thing when creating a poster isn’t what you add, but what you remove? In this design experiment, participants will work entirely in reverse—instead of layering, they will subtract, uncover, and seek the light hidden beneath the surface of old posters. They will discover that white is not emptiness, but a space that gives images the power to breathe. Participants will create an original poster that can decorate their room or become a unique gift. Come and discover that sometimes the most interesting things emerge precisely from what you let disappear. The workshop is led by graphic designer Tereza Saitz.
About the instructor
MgA. Tereza Saitz is a graphic designer and educator. She focuses on visual identities, exhibition graphics, publication design, and the creation of educational materials. She is interested in the educational overlap of design and, through her projects, strives to develop creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration in children from preschool to high school age. She is the co-author of the educational publication Písmocvik and contributed to the visual identity of the Identita – The Story of Czech Graphic Design project and the Brussels exhibition Design & Transformation. She has a long-standing collaboration with the Designers for Children (Designéři dětem) platform and is part of the Marvil graphic studio. She currently teaches at the Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. She is a laureate of the Most Beautiful Czech Books of the Year and the Golden Ribbon awards, and a finalist for the Czech Grand Design Awards.
The workshop will take place at the Trade Fair Palace (Veletržní palác) in the Atlas space.
