SCANDAL DO IT YOURSELF is a collection inspired by Pola Negri, the Polish silent film actress who became Hollywood’s first European superstar. Cast as an exotic vamp and magnificent wildcat, Negri understood scandal as something that could be staged, controlled, and used as a tool for self-invention. From walking her cheetah down Sunset Boulevard to carefully publicized romances, she built fame on her own terms. This collection explores the legacy that she leaves behind through the contrast between illusion and reality. Inspired by a ‘do it yourself’ approach and paper-craft aesthetic, it combines hand-drawn and printed patterns, photorealistic prints assembled like paper models, and visibly exposed construction.
