TALLA, the new chair collection designed by Václav Mlynář for KAPLAN 1934, brings together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary technology. Organic forms of solid oak flow into a single, slender line, giving the chairs lightness, elegance and a distinctive identity. The installation by MONUMENT Office celebrates the craftsmanship behind each piece. Four chairs are accompanied by large-format screens showing slow-motion footage of their creation – from CNC machining of solid wood to final hand finishing. The manufacturing process becomes an almost abstract visual experience, reminding us that exceptional design is rooted in experience, master craftsmanship and knowledge passed down through generations.
