A display case – a space for collecting, storing, and presenting items to others, where objects, often of sentimental value, lie untouched behind the glass. The project explores a display case in the sense of a private museum as well as a barrier: physical – between the user and the object – and social – between the household and visitors. The original glass barrier is melting and the soft forms, paradoxically, stabilise the balance of the whole and help to carry the structural load.
