A book that will entertain children but terrify parents!
A monitor lizard crawls onto the bed, squirrels nest in a lamp, mice borrow knickers, and Como, a stray dog, simply turned up and became the lady of the house. Author Martina Schneider Králová and designer Veronika Velčovská Jiroušková escaped the world of design into tropical nature to create an illustrated book. Martina wrote it based on her experiences living in a house in Sri Lanka and teamed up for the illustrations with Veronika, who had also encountered monitor lizards there. For the book’s graphic layout, she invited Zuzana Lednická, a graphic designer and Indian Ocean surfer who knows the local animal kingdom equally well. Welcome to the jungle!
The exhibition also features prints of illustrations by Veronika Velčovská Jiroušková.
