This project bridges interwar design and contemporary art, pairing a licensed replica of Jindřich Halabala’s H-269 armchair by Modernista with hand embroidery by Lucie Rosická. The three pieces reflect “Light” as the essence of human existence. The uninterrupted line of the bentwood armrest evokes a light beam, forming the canvas for this textile intervention. Fusing traditional craftsmanship with fine art, the fabric was precisely measured, embroidered over weeks, and masterfully stretched onto the frame. This collectible design brings together Halabala’s legacy, Modernista’s precision, and Rosická’s unique touch.
