Nela Krulišová Memory of Vulnerability

  • Diploma Selection

The master’s thesis Memory of Vulnerability focuses on the development of an experimental technology for joining glass and ceramics through hot fusing, glass blowing, and layering. It explores the interaction between two contrasting materials connected by their shared fragility and the ability of bodies to bear the traces of time. Ceramic represents a solid, porous skin, while transparent glass simultaneously reveals and conceals its surface structures. The resulting objects reflect corporeality, vulnerability, and the transformation of the surface.
