Hanuš Lamr

Hanuš Lamr (b. 1976) has long been pushing the limits of contemporary jewelry. He combines traditional craftsmanship with free sculpture to create a distinctive world inspired by nature – its fragility, its strength, and the traces left upon it by humankind. He works with a variety of materials and artistic techniques, resulting in jewelry with an organic aesthetic, distinctive scale and hidden meanings. His work is instantly recognizable: delicate, yet monumental. Notably, the National Museum has included the first tiara by this contemporary artist in its permanent collections. Jewelry and other works of art from Lamr’s studio in Malá Strana have also become favorites among prominent figures from the world of culture and business.
