The Technical University of Liberec, through the Department of Design at the Faculty of Textile Engineering (FT TUL), brings together four creative disciplines – textiles, fashion, glass and jewellery. Students explore new possibilities of working with materials, experiment with both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary technologies, and discover unexpected connections between craft, design and research. Interdisciplinary collaboration is at the heart of the programme, creating opportunities for innovative approaches to design and the search for more sustainable solutions. The studios are places where prototypes, material experiments and bold creative projects emerge, building on local traditions while responding to the challenges of contemporary design.
