Chapel of the Holy Cross

  • Address

II. nádvoří Pražského hradu, Praha 1

For the first time, the Chapel of the Holy Cross in the Second Courtyard of Prague Castle will become part of DesignBlok. In the deconsecrated late-Baroque chapel, multidisciplinary artist, designer and architect Eva Eisler will present the installation Kruh ticha / Circle of Silence.

Through stone, light, sound and moving image, the installation enters into dialogue with the history and architecture of the site, exploring themes of time, memory, presence and inner stillness. Eva Eisler, whose practice spans design, jewellery, architecture and fine art, was inducted into the Czech Grand Design Hall of Fame in 2026.

The exhibition is presented in collaboration between DesignBlok and Prague Castle and will remain on view until 6 January 2027.

The nearby Prague Castle Riding School will also host the exhibitions Design for Václav Havel and High Craft, as well as presentations by Czech publishers during DesignBlok.
