Deep Time, a collection of wall-mounted glass light objects and blown-glass vessels by Hana Hillerová, was inspired by the formation of celestial bodies and geological structures. The works evoke matter in the aftermath of a cosmic collision – incandescent fragments gradually merging, cooling and consolidating into new forms. Glass becomes a medium of memory, preserving traces of heat, gravity and time, and retaining within it the process of its own formation. The organic, orbital forms refer to deep time: the vast temporal scale over which planets, minerals and the structure of matter are formed.
