For over twenty-five years, Designblok has shaped the Czech design scene—supporting emerging talent, collaborating with renowned designers, connecting creatives with industry, and representing Czech design abroad. This traveling outdoor exhibition encapsulates all these efforts in a single installation: a cosmic capsule featuring ten original glass works by ten leading Czech designers.
A custom-fitted freight trailer transforms into a 65 m² mirrored gallery, wrapped in a silver reflective shell. Since its debut at the 25th Designblok in Prague Castle’s Royal Garden in October 2023, the capsule has drawn tens of thousands of visitors across Europe.
In 2024, it traveled to Milan’s Superdesign Show, the Regional Gallery in Liberec, Brussels Design September, and back to Designblok in Prague outside the Museum of Prague at Florenc. Its next stop: Munich Creative Business Week, 10–17 May 2025, at Propyläen am Königsplatz.
