Optiqa is an eyewear studio that has been creating an archive of spectacles from different periods for several years now, using it as inspiration to develop its own spectacle frame designs in its eyewear workshop.
“We are opening our own spectacle production. This is a follow-up to the forgotten workshop in Liben, Prague, which in the past created individual glasses for Czech bohemians, intelligentsia and important personalities. Here, our leading and now unknown frame designers learned the forming of spectacles. We each have our own hero with the shape of glasses, which is only in the photo today, and we can make the frame again. The frames VINOHRADY are inspired by the glasses worn by Milada Horáková and were first presented by a play by the Slovak National Theater called Milada directed by Matúš Bachynec. ”
