The Public Award, voted on by 5,455 visitors, was won by a project from students of the Faculty of Architecture at CTU — a set of dispensers for menstrual hygiene products highlighting the issue of period poverty.
Students of the Design program at the Faculty of Architecture, CTU, created three prototypes of dispensers for menstrual products as part of a design-build workshop. The metal dispensers by Pavlína Poláková, Tereza Cvrčková, and Štěpán Šuster differ not only in appearance but also in the way they distribute pads and tampons and in their placement in restrooms.
The Faculty of Architecture at CTU continues to fight period poverty and has already produced 55 dispensers for other institutions during the semester.
