Designblok Diploma Selection International Project Has Just Started

Designblok launches a big international project – a contest among European diploma (graduation) works organized under the auspices of EUNIC. Its trial year took place last year. The first year of the Designblok Diploma Selection competition will be held this autumn from October 7 to October 12. 

 

The Designblok Diploma Selection competition of European diploma (graduation) works in the field of design and fashion is open to all academy and university graduates who will graduate in the field of product design or fashion design in the participating countries ad regions in 2014 (Bulgaria, Lithuania, Italy, Austria, France, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Wallonia, Portugal, Norway, Germany, Czech Republic).

July 10, 2014

Finalists will be announced on:

July 20, 2014

Designblok preparatory committee will choose one designer and one fashion designer from each country. Designers will have an opportunity to exhibit their work in the Designblok Openstudio. Fashion designers will have an opportunity to present their work on the catwalk in the Church of St. Simon and St. Jude during the Designblok Fashion Week. 

 

The finals will be held in Prague during Designblok. The international jury of experts will choose one winner in the field of design and one winner in the field of fashion design. The names of the winners will be announced at the Designblok closing gala evening on October 12, 2014. The winners will get an opportunity to present their work at individual installations at Designblok 2015. 

 

Main media partner of the project is ELLE International.
