The husband and wife Maciej Chmara and Ania Rosinke, both of Polish origin, live between Vienna and Berlin
and rank among the most valued designers of the arriving generation. Their approach to design fuses conceptual thinking with practical and ecological aspects. Their reappearing central subject is food. Ania: “Design to me means solving problems, but also translating cultural heritages.” Maciej: “The thing I love about design is democracy.”
“Our works dating to several recent years were in part decorative and ornamental, influenced by our several trips to South Africa. However, the projects created during
the past two years as if turned purer and seem to be more focused."
At the Manifest exhibition present they objects devoted to simplicity.
