Two juries – one for fashion and the other for product design – held meetings over the past few days to sort through a large number of applications from the Czech Republic and choose the best designers to receive this year’s Talent Cards, i.e. a free presentation at Designblok.
The Designblok Fashion Talent Card winners are Lenka Vacková and Renata Dračková.
Lenka Vacková studies in the Fashion and Footwear Design Studio led by Liběna Rochová at the AAAD and studied abroad in Edinburgh. She will present her White Coa(s)t finals project at Designblok.
Renata Dračková studies in the Fashion Design Studio led by Pavel Ivančic at the AAAD. Her finals project focuses on the theme of Identity with an emphasis put on the transformation of traditional handicrafts in the present.
The Designblok Talent Cards were awarded to Sebastian Kitzberger, Barbora Přibylová and Martina Hudečková.
Sebastian Kitzberger, who studies in the Glass Studio led by Rony Plesl at the AAAD, will present the Pompadour vase from the OVA set at Designblok, i.e. his finals project on the theme of Sunday dining.
Barbora Přibylová, who studies in the Furniture and Interior Design Studio led by Jiří Pelcl at the AAAD, will present the Lollykov light designed in response to an assignment for a floor lamp for family houses.
Martina Hudečková, who studies in the Ceramics and Porcelain Studio led by Maxim Velčovský at the AAAD, will present her finals project on the theme of Budiž světlo (Let There Be Light), i.e. the Zátiší (Still Lifes) candlesticks.
The special ELLE Talent Cards were awarded to Karolína Karpíšková and Sára Beránková for their Narnish project. The designers will present their finals project on theme of “my own brand”. They both study in the Fashion and Footwear Design Studio led by Liběna Rochová at the AAAD.
